Koforidua celebrates early X’mas with Cowbell Santa
Koforidua came to a stand still as the town witnessed one of the biggest funfairs to hit the city in a long while.
The event which started with a donation exercise on Friday came to an end on Saturday 19th December with thousands of kids trooping to the Jackson Park to take part the early Christmas celebration.
Children from different homes and schools were treated to good music, which was spiced with choreographic performances from a dance group and several rap competitions amongst many others.
The event started with a parade for the Cowbell Santa across the Koforidua township with melodious music from the brass band and captivating skating performances from Santa’s assistants.
Meandering queues were formed as Santa arrived on the venue ground to present the thousands of products from the nourishing brand. Kids were also engaged in other activities such as face painting, video games, bouncy castles and many more. Thousands of kids were refreshed with Cowbell coconut, strawberry and choco-malt beverages as they continued the fun activities outlined for the day.
Preceding the event was a donation to the children wards of the Koforidua central hospital. Mostly products from cowbell were given to the children’s ward of the hospital as part of the early Xmas celebration for the kids.
The incident free event also had parent and teachers who had come to get their children and students entertained.
The event as described by Cowbell sought to celebrate the festive season with the thousands kids as a way of giving back to the society and also promises to make it bigger year on year.
