Idris Elba in Ghana for premiere of ‘Beasts Of No Nation’
Actor Idris Elba will be in town for the Ghanaian premiere of the movie
‘Beasts of No Nation’ on Sunday, December 13 at the SilverBird Cinemas,

He will be joined by other cast members including Abraham Attah, Ama K. Abebrese and Kobina Sam.
Elba plays the commander of a mercenary unit that recruits children and transforms them into soldiers during a war in an unnamed African country.
He got a Golden Globe nomination days ago for his role in the movie, adding to his NAACP Image Awards and 2015 Spirit Awards nominations.
The movie premiered on Netflix and in selected Theaters in The United States of America on October 16. It was screened at number of prestigious film festivals including Venice, BFI London and Toronto International Film Festival.
Based on the 2005 novel of the same title by Uzodinma Iweala, it was partly shot in Ghana and also stars David Dontoh and Grace Omaboe.
“Beasts of No Nation”, directed by Emmy Award-winning Cary Fukunaga is the first fictional feature produced and distributed by Netflix.
