It seems they really succeeded that is if the organisers, Charterhouse hoped to create a social media buzz, then they also succeeded as there was buzz on radio, television and online as the names of nominees dropped each hour.
As if that is not enough, come April 6, 2016, the second first is about to hit the people of Ho when it hosts this year’s Nominees Jam at the Jubilee Park. After having toured Accra, Koforidua, Kumasi, Tamale and Cape Coast, the nominees jam train stops at the Volta regional capital to treat patrons to energizing performances from the VGMA 2016 nominees.
A statement from an official of Charterhouse, “the Nominees Jam train is ready, it’s gearing up and fueling up to make its stop in the Volta City, but it’s not going empty handed.
“Every town that has hosted the Nominees Jam before will attest to one
thing; the train never comes empty handed. It is always full of nominees
who give off nothing but the best and this year’s will be no
exception.”
Throwing light on the Nominees Jam, the official also said “the event is a way for those given the nod to justify their nomination and also rally massive support for votes so they do well to put in their best.”
The artist billed to perform at Ho are the 2016 Unsung artistes who will have to prove which of them deserves to perform at the main event.
Also others on the packed bill are gospel greats S.P. Kofi Sarpong and Patience Nyarko, Wisa, Atom, Jupiter, Edem, Bisa Kdei, EL, Kwaw Kese and many more.
