PY MISSES BEING INFRONT OF CAMERAS

PY ADDO
The Ghanaian TV presenter and former co-host on Viasat 1's entertainment TV show "The One Show", PY Addo Boateng, says he misses being in front of the camera.
Since his hosting gig ended on the One Show, P.Y, as he is popularly called, has disappeared from the screens for almost two years now.
P.Y. explains that his absence from television is because he has not received the right offers for television projects.
He told Showbiz in close up on Friday that none of the offers he has received are up to the quality of the One Show, which he hosted alongside the gorgeous actress Joselyn Dumas.
“Whenever I watch television, I see nothing that is worth my time. If I will accept any offers then it has to be on a level better than The One Show and nothing can top that.
There is nothing exciting or challenging enough to motivate me,” he said.
In addition to that he said, he now prefers to work on projects that are meaningful and have a positive impact on society.

He revealed that although he has been away from the limelight, he has been busy in the background, working on different projects and getting closer to his family.
“I got married a few years back and I now have a baby girl so I have been spending time getting closer to my family. I have been working on the production and creative side of things. I still work on The Bless the Mic event.
“I also organised the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Concert, which was the biggest concert in Africa and featured some of the biggest music stars on the continent. The event was also telecast live on over 200 stations and various online platforms,” he added.
P.Y Addo-Boateng is currently hosting the University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY), a UK choral contest, which is making its African debut starting with Ghana.
The event provides an unprecedented platform for University Gospel Choirs across the nation to develop and showcase their musical abilities.
“This is the first event of its kind in Ghana and I am excited because this is something I am doing for God. I believe this project is inspirational and will inspire the youth,” he ended.
