Actor Harry Bentil, others to give to the needy
Popular Ghanaian actor Harry Bentil, is known for his roles in the
popular television series “Afia Schwarzenegger”, Home sweet home,
Beauty, Desperation, Apartment 22, as well as movies such as Hard drive,
Linda my love, etc.
His production HB7 Studios’ most recent short film, just cry, which was nominated for this year’s Ghana Movie Awards was tipped to come out on top considering the content and creativity the film entails.
The actor/director has been in the industry for quite a long time and has admitted its time to give back to the society. The progress he has made in the showbiz business has been remarkable over the years. Harry Bentil is not known to involve the media in his activities as he feels his hard work and credibility does not need to rely on media hype, etc., but he makes an exception in this case(donation) after contemplating.
The actor is set to team up with the “DEJOKO FAMILY”, a ‘ “University Of Ghana” campus association which according to him, has been embarking on charity activities during his times in school(University Of Ghana).
The donations takes place this Saturday which is also Harry’s birthday, and he has support from his colleagues, Toosweet Annan, Salma Mumin, Selly Galley, Aj Sarpong and Eddie Nartey, who will all be present on the day.
The “Afia Schwarzenegger” actor also reveals that, he has had this idea for a while now but was confused by how to go about the whole thing due to the heavy amount of work and money it entails, hence he called on the “DEJOKO FAMILY” who organized a similar charity project last year, to do a collaboration and split everything accordingly to make it successful.
On the day, the actor looks to spend the day with the kids alongside his colleagues. There will be interactions with the kids on what they are lacking, their progress and a little background check to find out the most brilliant students or promising students, Etc. Harry Bentil together with his colleague Toosweet Annan will select one of the promising students and caters for his/her education, and the trend will continue as such.
The event comes off this Saturday, 2nd January 2015 at the PORTER’S VILLAGE, DODOWA.
