Wiyaala releases ‘Sun and Moon’ her new song.

Wiyaala
Wiyaala the vocal sensation is out with another hit single,it does not seem as though she will be letting up her creativity anytime soon. Earlier his year, Wiyaala released Leno and it was a hit. People just couldn’t stop listening to it.
Wiyaala has now dropped another one and she calls it Sun and Moon.
Wow,the song is said to be a folksong in her native Sissala village and the young lady has decided to add a contemporary, internationally-appealing twist to it. Already radio stations in the country and abroad have already picked up on it and though some presenters may not understand what the lyrics mean, they still love it; but then again, it’s Wiyaala and doesn’t love a dose of her?
You can watch her creativity unfold and listen to the song in the video.

Peace Hyde gets special recognition award for Aim Higher Africa

Peace Hyde
The 5th Annual Women4Africa Awards took place in the prestigious Kensington town hall in London bringing together the biggest congregation of exceptional African Women from all over the continent in a night to celebrate and honour their amazing feats.
The awards which over the years has recognised women who have impacted their communities through their business and social enterprises this year selected Forbes Africa and Forbes Woman Africa correspondent, Peace Hyde to receive the special judges recognition award for her education consultancy and not for profit, Aim Higher Africa.
From humble beginnings, Aim Higher Africa has grown from the streets of Accra to touching the lives of thousands of street children and youths across Africa.
So far the charity has created over 300 small businesses for the youth and has reached over 2 million young students with its Ignite program which provides young entrepreneurs with the toolkit to create successful businesses.

This is what the Founder and CEO of Aim Higher Africa after recently winning the Young CEO Global Leader Award in 2015, Peace Hyde had to say on her Instagram (@peac_hy):
"God wants us to make progress. Begin to dream on purpose. Habakkuk tell us to write down the vision and write it down so plainly that anyone who passes by can see it. So 2 years ago in my classroom in London, I wrote some things down on paper and trusted God to do it in my life.
I am filled with hope and praise Him for allowing me to find my journey to be a person of purpose. Study the promises of God and tell Him that you are expecting to see them come to pass in your life.
I have declared everyday that "I have a vision of God's good plan for my life". I would like to say a special thank you to Him for bringing me this far and also a very big thank you to Women4Africa for this amazing recognition. I am extremely humbled. Thank you".

BET Awards: MzVee grabs a nomination.

MzVee
Ghanaian female dancehall artiste, MzVee got nominated for the 2016 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
The songstress MzVee, born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, received a nod in the Best International Act (Africa) category of the awards.
Her nomination has got many people shocked, bringing the competence of ghana’s BET reps into question.
According to BET nomination process, “There is a voting academy made up of about 500 people from the music industry, media, and bloggers. BET sends out ballots electronically and voters nominate, in all the different categories, who they think should be award nominees. These are collated by a group called “Yangaroo” that works on other awards shows as well, and they narrow it to the top five nominees, and send that list back out to the academy to vote on the winner”.
Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, EL, Efya…… The list of artistes worthier of BET’s recognition is long. Yet they chose to go for the least common denominator.
One is left to wonder if the BET award for The International best African Act should be taken seriously at all.Because the situation beats our imagination .
