I easily win the love of ladies – Samini discloses

Emmanuel Andrew Samini aka Samini has revealed that due to nature of his job, it is very easy for him to win the love of ladies.

He said this in an interview with Amanda Jissih on Hitz FM’s Showbiz Filla while on his media tour for his upcoming musical concert Saminifest which will come on this Saturday.

Samini explained to Amada Jissih that although he easily wins the love of ladies he cannot exactly be called a romantic fellow adding that he even forgets anniversaries and birthdays of his loved ones which is unfortunate indeed.

“Though I get the love of ladies easily, I cannot say I am romantic because most often I have to be prompted regarding anniversaries, birthdays and other special days of those who mean so much to me because I easily forget such dates thanks to a lot of projects I handle, he said.

“It is a shame but I have learnt to not get angry when I attempt to place a call twice and get no response because I also get phoned sometimes 100 times without me responding either because I am on the field or simply forget to call back,” he added.

Saminifest will be happening on the 5th of December, 2015 at the Trade Fair.

I regret being a Glo Ambassador - Sherifa Gunu

I regret being a Glo Ambassador - Sherifa Gunu

SherifagunugunugunuEndorsement deals between Ghanaian musicians and telecommunications companies have most of the time taken some shine off their brands as their allegiance to the brands deny them the opportunity of performing at certain shows, leaving them missed dearly by their fans.

Award winning afrobeat songstress, Sherifa Gunu who has had such an experience has appealed passionately to artistes who sign contracts with such Telecos to do that with all prudence.

She told Afia Schwarzeneggar on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa 102.3FM, that she regretted being a brand ambassador for GLO since all efforts to be on big shows of other competing brands proved futile.

“GLO contract killed my music career since I was unable to perform for other telcos who wanted me to be part of their billed artistes during an event.”

“Even though the money involved in my contract with GLO was satisfactory, I will appeal to my colleague musicians to be vigilant when signing contracts with any Telecos in the country.”

She explained that most of the Glo ambassadors have benefited a lot from the Glo deal, but the aspect which has affected their visibility was a clause in their contract that said they were not permitted to perform on any Glo competitor’s platform.

Glo Signed a lot of Ghanaian celebrities before it launched in Ghana. Many have fallen off as of now, the likes of Asem, Tinny, Wutah, Irene Logan, Pat Thomas are no more relevant as they used to be when they were signed.

The soul singer after waning out from the music terrain is back with her new album `Mama Africa’.

Kwabena Kwabena breaks silence on 'juju' scandal

Kwabena Kwabena breaks silence on 'juju' scandal

 Kwabena Kwabena Christmaseve
Few weeks ago, there were rumours of a massive shake-up in Kwabena Kwabena’s management team with ‘juju’ being the reason for the reported sudden shake-up.

According to the reports, one of the musician’s spiritual fathers had a revelation that some suspicious items had been buried at Kwabena Kwabena’s private residence.

Kwabena followed directions from the 'man of God' and found a black pot containing several scary items buried in his compound.

But addressing the issue for the first time, the silky voiced highlife singer denied knowledge of the speculations.

He told Hitz News, “As far as I am concerned, I have not said that anywhere and I have not pointed any accusing finger [at] anybody. What happened is, at KBKB music we expect a certain level of loyalty and competence, if you don’t meet it, we move on without you.”

Kwabena Kwabena continued that, it is common for an organization to relieve its members of their duty and employ new ones, and same applies to KBKB music.

“I have always had people assigned to tasks and there has always been a shakeup ever since I started from 2005 with my very first album.”

When asked why he never came out to rubbish the speculations, the ‘Adult Music’ singer said “rumours travel and people talk and for what I do, in the last ten years I have sacrificed my freedom, I put myself out there for people to talk about me so I cannot control what anybody says out there, I can only control what I say.”

Kwabena Kwabena, who has been off the music scene for a while after he released his first gospel tune titled ‘Bue Kwan’ from his album ‘Daakye’, is set to celebrate his tenth anniversary in music. He started doing music in 2005 when he released ‘Aso’.

Prior to the celebration, Kwabena Kwabena has released two singles, ‘Esen Sisa’, released on September 23, and ‘Tuemuda’ all from his ten-track album ‘Ahyease’ which he will release in April 2016.

He describes the latest work as “the album of (his) life” since it coincides with his tenth anniversary.

“It’s the album of my life because it's been ten years since I released ‘Aso’. It’s wonderful, Ghanaians are still supporting and enjoying Kwabena Kwabena's music. I was wondering what I can give my fans to be a signature for this ten-year anniversary and it is ‘Ahyease’,” he said.

Shatta Wale SocietyPopular dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Jnr, has disclosed that Samini is not a dancehall artiste but a highlife singer.

“Samini is not doing dancehall, he is good at highlife”

The ‘Kakai’ hit singer disclosed in an interview on Bryt FM, that Samini is of the view that Shatta Wale would dominant if he is allowed to perform on the same stage with him (Samini).

Shatta made known that Samini should stop taking issues with him as personal because music is business and should be seen as such in order not to loose focus.

The ‘Korle Gorno Ninja’ noted that he initially mentored Samini by listening to his songs so Samini should do same now that he (Shatta Wale) seems to be topping most charts in and outside the country.
