Come out if I 'slept' with you - Lumba dares accusers
Come out if I 'slept' with you - Lumba dares accusers
His choice of lyrics and ‘half naked’ ladies in his music videos might
speak ill about the 51-year-old Ghanaian High-Life legend, Daddy Lumba
born name Charles Kwadwo Fosu.
Lumba has been tagged as one of the “baddest man” in the entertainment
industry in Ghana – because most of his videos are rated [+18] due to
its obscenity.
In his younger age in the industry till now, he has been accused of
having series of sexual affairs with ‘uncountable’ ladies both in Ghana
and abroad – his accusers have claimed they have evidence – but that is
yet to be made public.
Nevertheless, the multiple award winning artiste affectionately called
Daddy Lumba has strongly denied all allegations labelled against him as a
“womanizer”.
Speaking on UTV’s morning show Adekye Nsroma Friday, the ‘Yentie Obiaa’
hitmaker maintained that he has been faithful to his wife and family
over the years.
He however – dared his accusers to make public their claims or ladies
who might have found themselves in his (Lumba’s) bed to also tell the
world about that.
“Any lady having any love affairs with me should come out publicly and say it. I am faithful to my wife” – he said.
Daddy Lumba, will launch his much-awaited gospel album titled ‘Hosanna’
on Saturday, November 28 at the Glorious Waves International Church in
Accra.
The album launch is expected to attract a number of personalities
including the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is a
special guest for the occasion.

I’m a proud virgin - Yaa Yaa
I’m a proud virgin - Yaa Yaa
In spite of the perception that virgins are hard to come by these days,
sultry singer Yaa Yaa has revealed she is still a virgin and a proud one
at that.
Yaa Yaa, born Bertha Bridget Kamkam who is currently single after
breaking up last year with her boyfriend of five years, also said she is
enjoying ‘singlehood’ as that is allowing her to concentrate on her
music career.
In an interview with Showbiz on her career and love life, Yaa Yaa who
is in her mid-twenties, said it was very easy to stay a virgin even when
in a relationship till one marries and finds it hard to understand
young women who claim it is very difficult to remain chaste these days.
For Yaa Yaa, a woman holds a lot of dignity when she remains a virgin
until marriage and believes sex is not the reason to be in a
relationship.
She explained that no matter how much she loves a guy, she is willing to let him go if he demands for sex.
Gasmilla bags huge cash from Vodafone
Gasmilla bags huge cash from Vodafone
It’s quite unfortunate that regardless of the massive airplay Gasmilla’s
Telemo has received for some months now and the fact that he has become
quite popular and sought-after; the song will not be nominated in the
next Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
However, it should be noted that Gasmilla has really benefitted in
different other ways due to Telemo and one way he has benefitted is
being contracted to shoot an advert for Vodafone.
Speaking to Flex Newspaper in an exclusive interview, the telemo hit
maker, Gasmilla noted that representatives of Vodafone in charge of
Yetwi Kor Promotion expressed interest in him to shoot the advert as a
promotional tool for the promotion.
In the advert, Gasmilla did a different rendition of Telemo to highlight the important details of the Yetwi Kor Promotion.
He mentioned that before then, many people and some agencies had tried
to link him to the Vodafone advert but he didn’t pay heed to them as he
wanted to work with Vodafone directly. When asked how financially
rewarding shooting of the advert for Vodafone was, Gasmilla could not
mention any specific figure due to the Confidentiality Clause contained
in the contract signed between him and Vodafone which prevents him from
divulging certain information with respect to the contract but
maintained that the amount of money involved is very huge.
Even though he still declined to mention a figure, Gasmilla noted that
for the fact that he charges an average of 80,000 Ghana for any major
show that alone should give an idea of how much he must have charged for
the advert.
According to him, the advert was shot in September 2015 right after he
had completed his ”Falefale Campaign” and maintained that his
association with Vodafone so far as the advert is concerned, does not
necessarily mean he has been signed on as an Ambassador for the
telecommunications company.
Meanwhile, Gasmilla has released a new single titled "swordu” which
speaks about how people betray their loved ones and reveal their
confidential and personal information even though these information
should have been kept out of the public domain.
He noted that the song is bound to positively affect anyone who listens
to it as each and everyone would be able to relate to the song as its
subject is a recurrent phenomenon in our daily lives.
In as much as Telemo seems to be his greatest hit song so far, Gasmilla
noted that he is very confident that ”swordu” would be much better and
a bigger hit than Telemo.
The song was produced by Spanky and Gasmilla did not feature any
artiste. He reiterated that even though he does his song for his fans
but not because he wants to win awards, he is confident that "swordu”
could receive some nominations in the next Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Still talking about Telemo which is unlikely to receive any nomination
in the next Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Gasmilla however believes he
could still be nominated in the Artiste of the Year category as he has
been able to perform on several platforms much more than any other
artiste within the year. He also hopes that his ”falefale” song could be
considered as the Development Song of the Year.

Lyrical Jibes good for Music – Reggie Rockstone
Lyrical Jibes good for Music – Reggie Rockstone says
The “Godfather” of Hiplife music in Ghana, Reggie Rockstone known in
private life as Reginald Yaw Asante Osei has defended lyrical jibes
commonly called “Beef” in the Ghanaian music industry stating that it is
healthy for its growth.
Various music artistes have lately resorted to attacking each other
with their lyrics for reasons unknown making it look like they are at
war to fans.
But Reggie Rockstone indicates that the war of words among musicians,
adds spice to the industry and he sees nothing wrong for Ghanaian
musicians to engage in the practice.
“Beef is good for music. It actually adds spice to the industry once
the musicians themselves do not engage in physical fisticuffs or fight”,
he said.
Speaking at a press soiree ahead of the biggest musical concert at the
Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 28, 2015, dubbed “Tigo
Unplugged”, the Hiplife Grandpapa disclosed that he will not condemn the
practice but urged those in it to be decorous.
Beef has over the years been enjoyed by Music lovers in Ghana as fans
constantly keep their fingers crossed and enjoy the fracas while the
parties involved strive at all cost to find punch lines to hit their
opponent.
It takes the form of burlesque music videos, stage mannerisms and sometimes entire albums are dedicated to the coveted battle.
Major beefs recorded in Ghana are Obrafour and Lord Kenya.
It all started when they both claimed ownership of the title
“Heavyweight champion”. Lord Kenya first called Obrafour “Tico”.’The
Executioner’ replied by calling Kenya “Tipa” and later on “Sakora”. They
hit each other so hard by revealing each other’s past in their songs.
In the heat of events, Ex-doe’s “MABA” and Chicago’s “WOBE K)” beef
became the talk of town when the earlier close pals took each other on.
Dancehall King Samini’s beef with the D-styler K.K Fosu also gained
prominence where the latter claimed he ‘made’ the former. This did not
auger well with Samini. That triggered him to release “IGWE” which
featured Mugeez of R2bees. Kontihene and Kwaw Kese had never met but
beefed each other from different studios. It was a typical no-nonsense
lyrical battle. Mad fish and Kwaw Kese both battled over the title
“Abodam (MADNESS)”.The ‘Obia nye Obia’ man, Sydney was taken on by Borax
at a point in the game. Groups have witnessed internal squabbles that
has brought about the total demise of the group or just a mere tearing
away of some key members. Talk of Friction from VIP, Praye Tintin from
Praye and the separation of Buk Bak and Wutah and you would not be far
from right. Agbeko No. 9 took on Ayigbe Edem in the music world
regardless of their common Anlo descent. He claimed Edem orchestrated
his dismissal by hammer from the Last 2 Camp.
In recent years, the game has been hotter in terms of beef. Headlining
the parade is that between Obrafour and Okyeame Kwame. Obrafour did not
come to terms with the title ‘BEST RAPPER ALIVE’ Kwame had bestowed upon
himself and threw hot punchlines on the controversial ’ kasiebo’ song
at Okyeame Kwame and Obour with the able contribution of the upcoming
rapper GURU. Okyeame Kwame(The Rap Doctor) had a press release to that
effect stating clearly 10 reasons why he wouldn’t reply Obrafour.
ASEM versus R2bees & Sarkodie is a battle everyone would want to
watch. Asem released ‘No more Kpayor’ and ‘Fylla’ whiles the Tema-based
musicians released ‘T.E.M.A’ and ‘Fair warning’. Other rappers like Yaa
Pono took on Asem during the controversial rape scandal.
Kwaw Kese has beefed the likes of Asem and John Germain on his ‘Killer
bewu last show’. He is on record to have said in the song that Out of
hunger,Asem signed on GLO.He also called Germain ‘Jon jimijimi’ on that
same song.Asem also said in the ‘Fylla’ song that he was proud because
Kwaw had turned into his P.R.O and so he always mentioned his name
everywhere he went. It has become that bad that Kwaw went to the extent
of walking out on the ’celebrity soccer show’ just because he was
supposed to be on set with Jon Germain, the Allo Tigo Host who has been a
strong critic of “the man insane”.
Castro and Tinny blew the ‘beef air’ when tinny did not buy the idea
that Castro was the ’50 Cent’ of GH as he claimed by saying in one of
his songs that he had never seen a ’50 cent’ who dances ‘Mapouka’.

Movie Is Selling Ghana Than Music – Socrate Safo
Movie Is Selling Ghana Than Music – Socrate Safo says
Ghanaian movie maker Socrate Safo has opined that movies sell Ghana international than music.
Socrate in a chat with Christian Agyei Frimpong on TV3 owned radio station, 95.1 said most tourists come to Ghana because of the beautiful pictures they see in the local movies.“A lot of tourists come down here to pump money into our country most times. All these foreigners when you ask how they got to hear about Ghana, I can tell you from experience that it is movie.
New York is my second and hose who distribute films there are Ghanaians not Nigerians. One of them that I mostly communicate with is Rabiu Mohamed. If I’m with him in his shop, I realize those that come to buy the movies are not Ghanaians. They are Surinamese, Jamaicans, and other people. The thing they like most is Ghanaian movies.
Sometimes my friend introduces me to some of these people that I’m a Ghanaian movie producer and many of them ask much about our country. I can tell you for a fact that many of these small scale tourists who want to travel outside their countries follow audio visuals than songs.
Most of these people who do not understand our language do not follow music but because of the nature of movies, they watch and follow the story. The more they watch and follow the story, the more they fall in love with the society or the culture. Even if you watch the pictures, the location and other things like that appeals to you.
As I am talking to you today, most of Ghanaian ladies who watch telenovelos would like to travel to Mexico because of what they see. Americans have sold their country through their movies. That is why I said that when we talk of marketing Ghana, audio visuals sell more than the music” Socrate Safo explained.

I Have Kissed Over 200 Actresses – Jim Iyke
I Have Kissed Over 200 Actresses – Jim IykeNollywood bad boy, Jimi Iyke can’t
stop being controversial. During the week, the actor openly kissed
actress Joselyn Dumas on a live show, and went ahead to confess that he
has kissed not less than 200 actresses while on different movie sets. He was a Special Guest on AfricaMagic programme which was anchored by Joselyn Dumas. Responding to a question on why he had to kiss Nadia Buari, upon the latter’s arriving Dubai during the last season of his reality TV show, Jim Iyke Unscripted, the controversial actor said, he has a habit of kissing women openly, including his sisters. He narrated a situation where he had to kiss three European ladies who accompanied his girl friend to the airport to welcome him, during one of his foreign trips, adding that he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. As if that is not enough, Jim Iyke painted another scenario, where he had to kiss four actresses in the presence of their boy friends. “I have once kissed them on set, and so, when walked into the room where two of them were with their boy friends, I kissed them one after the other and their boy friends were mad at me. I have also kissed over 200 actresses on set and nobody is talking about it,” he enthused. He, however, declined to comment on his relationship with Nadia Buari. But there are indications that the two unconfirmed love-birds may be hitting your TV screens again for the second season of Jim Iyke Unscripted. Jim disclosed that the reality show will soon hit the screens again. Explaining the idea behind the show, Jim Iyke said, he needed to present a true picture of who he is, to the world. “I have to be introspective. Many times, a lot of negative things have been said about me in the media. It is not basically about what they say about you, it is about you believing in yourself. The first thing is, what I believe in, and what people say about me is secondary. I have always been particular about paparazzi. I was very sceptical to allow cameras into my life, into my home and family. The argument was superior ; it was like all these years everybody has different opinions about you. Why don’t you give them a clear picture of who you are. So I decided to start the TV reality show,”Jim Iyke explained. Jim Iyke Unscripted debuted in 2013, on Dstv showcasing the uncut life style of the actor .The series which ran for 13 weeks presented the other side of the controversial actor. |

Hit Or Miss? Did Naa Ashorkor have a bad fashion day at the Miss Malaika 2015 finals?
Actress, radio and TV personality, Naa Ashorkor usually makes the ‘best dressed list’ at most events. But did the loveable radio and TV host have a bad night at the just ended Miss Malaika 2015 finale? She made her first set of appearances in a colourful african-print jacket over a glittering black skirt. Her neckline looked too busy, almost as if she was suffocating. She later changed into a peacockish red gown with a little less neck detailing than the former. So what do you think, hits or misses?

Jealousy Is Killing Showbiz
Jealousy Is Killing Showbiz
Chief Executive of Media Excel Productions Ernest Kwesi Ennin has noted that the issue of jealousy or envy in Ghana’s showbiz transcends the movie industry and is equally visible in the music sector—even among gospel musicians.Mr Kwesi Ennin, who has managed several of Ghana’s best gospel musicians, complained that the negative trait had become an obstacle to the formation of a united front among stakeholders in the creative arts sector.
He told Hitz Fm on Tuesday that some Ghanaian gospel musicians never wish each other well and do not support each other.
Kwesi Ernest said it is not uncommon that when a gospel musician is performing on stage, another gospel musician in the auditorium would be wishing and praying that the one performing should not do well or even get hurt on stage.
“Where is the unity we are talking about…If we are united in the creative arts sector, we can now match together and go to government with our issues and government will take us seriously and will begin to bring things that will support the industry.
“But these structures are not there because everybody wants to make it higher than his brother. You want to breakthrough than anybody,” he added and wondered if Ghanaian entertainment stakeholders would ever change that attitude towards each other.
Kwesi’s claims follow last week’s complaints by popular actress Yvonne Nelson that the never-ending challenges confronting Ghana’s movie industry can be largely blamed on the lack of unity and jealousy among its stakeholders and that Nigerians have been laughing at Ghanaians about it.

(1, she’s also a Scorpio, 2, she almost had me on her birthday but 😝 3, she’s on Instagram/Facebook so she’ll see this,) 🎈HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 🎂🎉🎈 The #YAAASANTEWAA of our time 💪🏾😇” Yvonne took Ghana and the world by storm in May this year, when she led the popular #dumsormuststop campaign which gained media attention all over the world, through which she got the title ‘Yaa Asantewaa’ for braveness. |

Beverly calls fan the B-word for insulting her husband Choirmaster
Beverly Afaglo, actress and wife of Choirmaster, a former member of the music trio Praye, has expressed her sentiments on various comments being passed by critics and fans on her husband’s refusal to join the new “Praye” group.
While some have appealed to Choirmaster to join his old group for a comeback, others vehemently express the view that his music as a solo artiste will not go far, if he does not join the group.Reacting to the comments, Choirmaster, who used to be called Praye Honeho, when he was part of the group has noted in some interviews that he is under a new management and would only go back if contracts are signed.
While the debate is still ongoing, actress Beverly Afaglo who obvious has had it with the insults and evil wishes on her husband for his refusal to join the group has rebutted to one entertainment critic who spoke ill of Choirmaster on Gh One TV yesterday.
She took the critic by name Serwaa to the cleaners for asking her husband to go back and join the group else he is doomed. The lady name Serwaa was on Gh One TV on Monday to express her views on Choir Master’s refusal to join the group.
Beverly who seemed not amused about some pronouncement of the young lady took to her Instagram page to vent her anger. In her post, she referred to the said lady as a bitch and an attention seeker.
The actress in her anger wrote:
“So I was told this morning that this bitch called Serwaa insulted my husband on Ghone tv yesterday.Saying that his music is trash n she wants to puke when she sees his music video on tv….. hmmmm smh.U Serwaa that all the rich men in accra hv slept with,we don’t puke when we see or smell u.U are the biggest fool n wanna be to eva be on tv.U cum on tv to talk trash jus to be famous?I’ll help u here so ur fame grows faster bullshit.U all stupid girls who go on such platforms n are not even given transportation home but u still go jus cos u bent on being famous but u want to destroy some1’s brand he’s worked hard n built ova a decade with ur filthy mouth,i dnt blame u cos u hv no talent to start with so u hv no brand to build or protect. You jus come on tv to attract more big men to sleep with u to feed ur sorry ass cos u don’t work…… U said he should join praye else he won’t make any good music? If he joins praye as u hate him that much, will he make any good music to ur ears?Is joining a group byforce? Does he beg u for bread every morning? Mind ur own business,if u sleep with any of the praye guys n thus ur reason for supporting them so hard, help them on ur platform to make it big n leave@choirmastergh_ the hell alone. We don’t need u,u are not a fan,not everyone is a fan of every artiste n u’v made it clear so stop right there cos the nxt time it wouldn’t be on social media.U will hear And to All Ghanaians who keep insulting @choirmastergh_ that he goes back to praye should shut the fuck up,nobody makes decisions for any of u so I dnt expect u to make decisions for a grown man.Love who u love and let’s leave the rest to God.U are not God.Mind ur own business, that is,if u hv one mtcheeewww.In Beverly Afaglo’s answer to Serwaa, she posted a photo of the Tv Hostess and below is the original photo of the TV hostess named Serwaa.
