Multiple award winning movie “Beasts of No Nation” has secured a nomination at this yrar's BET awards. The movie which stars Ghanaian youngster, Abraham Attah has won several international awards.
The 2016 BET awards list of nominees were released on Friday saw the award winning movie nominated alongside “Concussion”, “Creed”, “Dope” and “Straight Outta Compton” for the “Best Movie” category. “Beasts of No Nation” written, shot, and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, is about a young boy, Agu (Played by Abraham Attah) who survives as his country goes through a horrific war.
It also stars Idris Elba, Ama K. Abebrese, Grace Nortey, David Dontoh, and among others.

Mutiple award winning Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari debunks claims that she is very arrogant.
In accordance to what she disclosed the ‘Mummy's Daughter’ actress, she is a “painfully shy” and is often interpreted by people as arrogance.
“I think I am a weirdo, naturally sometimes I can be a nerd… I am painfully shy and really nervous but a lot of people don’t believe that...but I am extremely shy,” Nadia Buari made this revelation on Starr Chat hosted by Bola Ray on Wednesday.
The actress added that people must get to know her to understand that she is not arrogant but just a shy person. BIO
Nadia Buari was born 21 November 1982. She received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2007 and 2009.
She has starred in over 30 movies including The Return of Beyoncé, Mummy’s Daughter, Darkness of Sorrow, Slave to Lust, In The Eyes of My Husband, American Boy, Wicked Intentions and Tomorrow Must Wait.’
In 2014 the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards gave her a 'SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD' in an event held in Accra, Ghana.

Ghanaian television personality that's the host of GhOne TV’s Rhythmz, Berla Mundi who also was the host at the 2016 VGMA red-carpet has expressed her opinion about Kofi Kinaata's performance.
Berla was disappointed after Kofi Kinaata’s performance at the 2016 VGMAs on Saturday night.
The High grade family act,Kofi Kinaata brought on stage girls wearing extremely skin revealing outfits on stage, twerking while he was performing his hit song ‘Susuka’ track which was rather supposed to motivate and encourage people and also carries a very good message.
However,before she drew down the curtains for the Monday edition of her show, she congratulated him for winning Best New Artiste and Songwriter of the Year awards, and this is what she said:
“I was just very disappointed that while performing Susuka on stage, he had girls barely covered up, doing things that they shouldn’t have been doing on stage. I thought that was a no-no-no. I mean i understand when you want to get dancers on stage…but this is a song which is supposed to motivate people.” She continued “His creative team should work on this. You should have seen SP Kofi Sarpong. He was sitting right in front of the girls twerking, and couldn’t look. He had to turn like this. He was embarrassed and you could see embarrassment written all over his face.”
And ended “Susuka is an advice and you had almost naked girls twerking.”.

Winner of the ultimate award at the 2016 VGMA,the Artiste Of the Year Elorm Adablah a.k.a EL has changed his look and is now wearing a new look.
The lanky musician at last has shown off his locks, the reason behind his recent love for baseball caps.
The BBnZ act, revealed his new look to friend and broadcaster Berla Mundi during the Truth or Dare segment of the latter’s TouchDown late evening show on LIVE 91.9 FM on Monday.

This year's VGMA night was certainly a night many anticipated for, as the biggest night of gh music.The major highlights of the night are:
Firstly the top most award that's artist of the year 2016 was won by BBNZ act, E.L taking home a total of five awards including the coveted ‘Artiste of the Year’.
And alsoSarkodie and Bisa Kdei won four awards each.
The 17th edition of the music awards scheme was held at the Accra International Conference Center.
Performers on the night includes show rockers Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Efya, EL, R2Bees, Wizkid, Joe Mettle and Adomaa and was hosted by Chris Attoh, DJ Black and Naa Ashorkor.

Controversial Ghanaian boxer,Bukum Banku says he is not done with bleaching yet, as his aim is to look like Michael Jackson.
The boxer in an interview with Kafui Dey on GhOne TV expressed no regret for bleaching his skin. He added that he would continue to bleach for as long as he desires.
This are his own words when he said “I will continue to bleach my skin and look like Michael Jackson. I like Michael Jackson so I will continue bleaching till I’m fair like him. People haven’t seen anything yet. It is my own skin and I will bleach the way I like”
Bukom Banku in his interview revealed that he likes president Mahama and he is ready to help in his 2016 campaign to win the presidency as they all hail from the North and he considers him a father figure.

The controversial boxer disclosed that he spends close to GH?320 weekly on his bleaching cosmetics weekly.
News of the boxer bleaching caused a public debate when photos of his alleged skin bleaching hit the internet. In rebuttal to his critics, Bukom Banku has decided to switch his ‘fashion sense’ to wearing skimpy shorts to expose his nude shanks.
Bukom Banku, known in private life as Braimah Kamoko is a professional boxer who plays other multiple roles as a musician and an actor.
