In UK at the Afrobeats Music Festival, Sarkodie pulled a big surprise on R2Bees.

One of Africa's most successful musicians, Sarkodie pulled a huge surprise on Tema based Afrobeats duo, R2Bees. It's very amazing to know that, the huge love between Tema artists dominates no matter where they find themselves.
Though this is not the first time that Sarkodie pulled such a surprise, it took R2Bees and the many fans who thronged The Indigo at the O2 for the Afrobeats Music Fesitival by surprise. The event which was headlined by R2Bees took place on Saturday 30th July,2016.

R2Bees performed alongside UK based Ghanaian group The Composerz, fans were wowed when Sarkodie joined the group to perform a number of songs on the night. Meanwhile, Sarkodie has been in the UK shooting music videos and working on other music related projects, for some time now.
The 'hand to mouth' hitmaker,Sarkodie exceptionally performed on the night and left the rest of the show as expected for the headliners R2Bees.

Sarkodie did the same thing during Shatta Wale’s album launch in Ghana as he pulled a huge surprise on him as he joined him to perform some of his hit songs including M3gye Wo Girl.
The musical group, R2Bees is made up of a rapper and a lead singer Omar Sterling(Paedae) and Mugeez respectively.

The list is mainly occupied by music from Ghana’s West African neighbours Nigeria, Sarkodie and Ghanaian UK based artist Fuse ODG were the only Ghanaians to make it into the list, anyway they present a very strong competition.

Mzbel describes supreme court judgement as 'using a claw hammer to kill 3 harmless ants'.

Outspoken Ghanaian female musician,Mzbel has publicly given her take on the recent supreme court case in which the accused were jailed for four months.
The three Montie  FM panelists were sentenced for threatening the lives of Supreme Court justices, in a radio discussion.

It seems the supreme court judgement did not down well with Mzbel, because she believes the verdict was too harsh, saying that the judges overreacted for sentencing the three – describing the decision as ‘using a hammer to kill three harmless ants'. Her statement isn't much of a surprise because she(Mzbel) is known for giving her take on topical issues such as this one.

You you can read the unedited version of her post below or better still click on the link beneath it:
A young man who could drive 150km/h without bursting a tire, loaded his gun, youngman walked to the castle to get information about the President's movement on Sundays. He got all the needed information then moved straight to the church where the President worships to finish him.
He was arrested with the loaded gun on him.The general outcry even from ardent critics of the President was the excuse that the young man was mentally sick was unacceptable that he must be jailed immediately. The President for days didn't say a work till lion approached him to get his position.
I was rendered stupid after his response. His absolute trust in God was perfectly exhibited before m e,his forgiving heart landed on my feet and confidence in the very system he presides over matured displayed.
He said emphatically that his existence on this surface earth depends on Go d, after all the young man was his brother-in-law then chuckled so if he want orphans in his ho me,he should execute his mission. He said that humorously because of the BA connection.

Days after he stated his position ope n l y, forgiving the guy and went on further to advise the operatives to ensure he receives the needed medical attention if necessary.Unknown to the public the President privately visited this youngman who wanted to finish him to see how he was responding to treatment. Many facts came up later but matured as the President and wife a r e,they managed that with dexterity.
The President was described as an armed robber by a presenter the NMC only enjoyed stories from the young man without stating his gross misconduct emphatically. We heard Gabby describe our noble judges as a bunch of timid persons. We have three arms of Government with the executive per our arrangement, being the head so why the mischievous ebbs and flow.
I don't want to touch seriously on the issue for, now, but I can tell this judges clearly here that the punishment inflicted on the young men and the owners of the media house will rather cause serious injury to the judiciary especially the apex court, it will heighten tension and will rather harden miscreants who may have calmed down because of the general atmosphere. The situation at the time the three judges cannot in any way be compared to this vastly improved system with our human right record surging up.We now have a well constituted political structure with effective institutions operating without suppress ion,the authority of the Supreme Court remains intact so why taking our minds back psychologically.
I have serious issues with what our friends said but haven't we used a strong hammer to kill three harmless ants?
And to my friends in the media who are using vague legal technicalities to support the decision , please be carefu l,be very careful.I hold my bible to my chest reading from Psalm 35 and beloved you will one day cry blood over same treatment meted out to these guys.
Attempts to gag journalists from opposition stable is crystal clear, they using insults, intimidation, machinations and conditioning to cow most you into submission. Never misinterpret the calmness the NDC is exhibiting, the system itself will soon react to these painful development engulfing the political space.

The Ghanaian media are rather destroying us...- Stonebwoy

BET award winning afro-dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has reacted to claims that he was sacked from stage by Nigerian rock star, Wizkid at the One Africa Music Fest,New York, last Friday.
He expressed great displeasure on the latest media report which went viral on social media, describing it as a craze by the media.
And instead of the Ghanaian media supporting their own especially the hardworking ones to reach higher heights, they rather devote their time doing what will bring them down.

It was published in the media that Stonebwoy was sacked from stage to pave way for Wizkid to perform.
Swiftly, Stonebwoy came out to debunk the media publication.
The CEO and founder of Bhim nation spoke on Entertainment Review on Hitz FM and he described the publication as unfounded.
Explaining that, Wizkid is a friend of theirs and there is no way he could sack him as was claimed in the story.

He bitterly described some Ghanaians as being fond of writing defaming stories about fellow relentlessly working Ghanaians.
He also stated that the malicious story came as a surprise to him, because he was the one who posted the said video on social media.
In the same interview he said “Nigerians always support their own but we spend time destroying each other,”.

The 'Bhim Nation' hitmaker Stonebwoy who is currently in USA says he will be coming home soon to celebrate the one year anniversary of his mother’s demise and afterwards embark on a three city tour in Australia before he returns for a big music concert in Tamale at the end of August.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy said he would not let such bad publications to hurt him but rather he will concentrate on the good works he is doing because he's determined to go higher.

Kaakie says MzVee was the acting dancehall queen but she(MzVee) is not even a dancehall artist.

The dancehall queen who went on a music hiatus, Kaakie after releasing her comeback song 'sankwass' which got social buzzing has made some clarifications.
'We de chew weed' a phrase in the song which was one of the causes of the brouhaha, she explained that it is a  metaphor. She also described her colleagues as the 'Sankwasses' in the music industry, MzVee being the first name mentioned.

In an on-phone interview on Gh One tv's RhythmzLive, Kaakie made some clarifications: ''when I was on the music break, some people tried to take my place and some were also saying that I have ran away''
When asked to state some of those beneficiaries of her break, she mentioned MzVee, AK Songstress amongst others.
"MzVee was the acting dancehall queen when I wasn't around, but MzVee is not even a dancehall artist" adding to her earlier claims.

The host of Rhythmz Live, Berla Mundi asked her why she's saying MzVee is not a dancehall musician " when you are sing 'patoa' on a high-life beat doesn't make you a dancehall act, MzVee don't even sing in 'patoa' what she does is pidgin" giving an explanation.
That all the gist for now but what do you think about Kaakie' claims, do you think she's trying to step on MzVee to comeback into the music industry? Well, I leave it to you to do the judgment.

Joselyn Dumas unleashes her anger on Kempinski hotel for denying she and KOD and entry.

It is very disheartening not to be given the kind of treatment you deserve, but it's worse when it happens to a celebrity. Popular Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas was a victim of such an occurrence according to our sources. And out of frustration, she took to her Twitter handle to express her displeasure with the unspecified hotel on Friday. Though disgruntled Joselyn Dumas mentioned Movenpick Hotel in her tweets mistakenly, she was actually referring to the plush Kempinski Gold Coast hotel where she and her friends were rudely turned away from eating at the executive lounge/restaurant on the 6th floor of located in Accra.

Ace broadcaster ,Kofi Okyere Darko(KOD)  was one of her friends who decided to go for a quick grub at the restaurant only for them to to be denied entry into the elevator unless they show their ID card or membership card to the security.
It seems as if for being a celebrity there are no perks for you anymore because the security stated that he knew who Joselyn and KOD were, but he still insisted on seeing a form of identification before he would let them in. And directed them to go and register at the reception first before they would be allowed to enter.
This affirms my earlier submission that it's very disheartening because a brand like Kempinski who is known globally for hosting and pampering celebrities, it was quite a shame that two of Ghana’s most known faces were driven away from their restaurant.

Following reports from our sources, Jackie Appiah and her manager, Samira who were meant to have dinner with Joselyn Dumas and KOD but luckily for them they were allowed to enter.
However, it is not the first time that a known person was turned away from Kempinski in Accra. It happened to Wanlov once as he was driven away from the hotel for not wearing shoes – his signature look!. But in the case of  Joselyn and friends she was properly dressed, because she had just come from a funeral. So what might have triggered this to happen to them, is it that Ghanaian celebrities are gradually losing their due respect or its only the fault of Kempinski.
Read her tweets below in the second picture:
