The 2017 MymicMySwag African Award(MSAA) comes off on the 24th of September, don't miss it.

After it's inception in 2014, The MymicMySwag  African Award(MSAA) has grown to become even bigger and better. The awards scheme is a platform created by the inspiration of God Almighty to appreciate and reward Outstanding personalities and Africa's great talents who against all odds have been able to stand out  to influence their world, by impacting it positively.

The maiden edition, MSAA 2014 was hosted by Seyilaw, Nigeria's top comedian at Wilfred Place in  Surulere, the acceptance of that debut lead to the magnificent outing of 2015 @ WestOwn Hotel Lagos which was also hosted by versatile comedian Koffithaguru an Ambassador of MymicMySwag African Award and he has done this, for two consecutive years 2015 & 2016.
The MSAA has also decorated four(4)  AMBASSADORS within the past three editions of it's existence.

And now it's time to rollout the 2017 edition of the awards and we look forward to having more great characters decorated this year, MSAA is a non voting process Annual Award. It's a season to say thank you to the deserving selected personalities...

The 2017 Glitz Style Awards: A list of all the winners plus exclusive photos.

It was a night full of style, glamour and fashion at it's best, The Glitz Style Awards 2017 went down over the weekend. The Ghanaian awards event has reaffirmed it's position as one of the best red carpet events on the African continent.

This year's edition marks the third edition and it took place at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Saturday, August 19.













A total of seventeen nominees emerged winners in the various categories.
 Celebrities such as Joselyn, Bola Ray, Okyeame Kwame,Berla Mundi and more where among those who took home awards on the night.

The star studded event was attended by an amazing number of celebrities and high profile personalities who slayed in their glamorous outfits.
The 2017 Glitz Africa Awards red carpet was such a sight to behold as it was hosted by the Gorgeous Nikki Samonas and sexy James Gardener. And on the red carpet was Ghana's second lady, Samira Bawumia, Joselyn Dumas, Nathaniel Attoh, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Berla Mundi Becca, host of others.

The Glitz style awards is a platform for the fashion industry to celebrate and promote the extraordinary creative talents in Ghana and Africa. Thus celebrating people who live, love and work fashion.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Dr Ndoum, Kwadwo Safo, others got awarded at the 2017 GUBA Awards.

The 2017 GUBA awards took place on Saturday the 3rd of June 2017, at the Intercontinental Hotel, o2, London. And as usual the virtue of consistency was manifested at this year's GUBA Awards. The biennial award in its sixth year, paid tribute to an array of trailblazers from various industries.
The night commenced with an ode to Ghana by the Shekinah singers as they sang the Ghana national anthem. Dynamic hosts Anita Erskine and Eddie Kadi welcomed the audience whilst acknowledging the theme of the night; ‘Celebrating Excellence’.

Ghanaian performer Wiyaala gave an energetic performance singing ‘Africa’ and ‘Rock my body’, thoroughly entertaining the audience and getting them on their feet.
An endorsement video from His Excellency – Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, was played to the audience.
I have been a keen follower of the activities of GUBA and I must say they have done a brilliant job especially in helping to consolidate the economic, social and tourism link between the UK and Ghana. We should all stand ready to support GUBA. The cooperation between public and private sector players will only help to steer on Ghana’s development as we seek to create wealth, prosperity and jobs for our people – he added

Other videos tribute from veteran broadcaster John Snow and Former First Lady Cherie Blair were also aired. A surprise Outstanding Achievement Award was given to Chris Hughton, manager of newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
The night was well attended by several dignitaries, directors and media personalities including: Minister for Tourism, Arts & Culture (Ghana) – Hon. Catherine Afeku, Francis Asenso-Boakye – Deputy Chief of Staff to the President and Political Assistant (Ghana), MP Dianne Abbott, Eugene Akwasi – Ayisi – Labour Party Cabinet Member Communities Haringey, GUBA Patron and Actor- Hugh Quarshie , Rahul Gopinath – Regional Director for Africa- ECOM Agroindustrial Corp, Iain Walker – New British High Commissioner to Ghana and X-factor finalists Reggie N Bollie to name a few.
Speaking on the journey of the GUBA Awards and the celebration of Ghana at 60, Mrs Dentaa Amoateng MBE (CEO) stated:
My theme to mark this milestone is the strategic virtue of consistency and to have the drive to maintain consistency, you need a vision. Here at GUBA, the tireless work of our dynamic volunteers as well as the energy and passion of my team motivates us to be consistent and to strive to succeed. Over the next two years GUBA will be focusing on ways to promote Diaspora relationships.
Lastly, a prestigious award was presented to Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom for his Excellence in Business by Warner Rootlep, AF of KLM General Manager UK & Ireland. The night ended with a medley from the Davidson band and was followed by a post event networking at the Sky Bar in the Intercontinental Hotel. Seven awards voted for by the public and thirteen Black Star Awards were given out in total.

Stonebwoy grabs nomination at the 2017 BET Awards for Best International Act– Africa, checkout the full list.

Dancehall sensation and Bhim Nation president, Stonebwoy has once again made Ghana proud as he gets nomination in the 2017 BET awards, in the Best African Act category. The last time Stonebwoy was lifting the flag of Ghana at the BETs he was doing it alongside Ghana's biggest rapper, Sarkodie but this time he's the only nominee from Ghana.

 Meanwhile Mr Eazi, who also traces the success of his music to Ghana is also shortlisted in the category. Other competitors from the continent include Starboy frontman Wizkid, Tekno, Davido (Nigeria), as well as AKA, Nasty C, and Babes Wodumo (South Africa).

 The 2017 edition of the awards is slated for June 25 at the Microsoft Theatre. It also sees Beyoncé leading all artists with seven nominations including one for the award show’s highest honor, video of the year, for her smash hit “Sorry”.

2017 Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards open for entries.

Nominations for the 2017 edition of Exclusive Men of the year(EMY) Awards Africa are open, according to information from the organizers.
The awards, dubbed EMY's is annually organized to recognise and celebrate men's excellence and to inspire the  younger generation.

This year marks the second edition of the awards and its slated for June 27 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, Accra.
Exclusive Men’s Magazine, Carbon AV and Mediaspace Cyber Media, organisers of the awards said in a statement that EMYs’ “purpose is to celebrate excellence and to inspire the young generation of men to aspire to reach the heights of the astute gentlemen who are celebrated every year at the Awards.”

The deadline for the submission of nominations is May 25, 2017. To file for nomination visit their website, www.emyafrica.com for more details about the award categories and the nomination process.
The organisers also elaborated that, the nominations are handled by the EMYs Faculty which is a technical team of eminent members, “strategically drawn from diverse corporate and social backgrounds to oversee the collection, collation and aggregation of nominations across the country for this competitive award.”

Major winners of last year's event were, renowned Ghanaian businessman, consultant and politician, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom was adjudged the Ultimate Man of the Year. Other big winners were Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka, Dr Kwame Osei Despite and Dr Kwabena Duffuor. Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (alias Bola Ray) and Kwami Sefa Kayi.
Also, in the female category, Dr Beatrice Wiafe of the Breast Care International won the Ultimate Woman of the Year award.
